Help to decorate apartment 1st time?
My boyfriend and I are together our first apartment after living with other people for a year. For so our place. It is a lot of golf, sports, and bars while enjoying art, scrapbooking, nature and exercise. He does most of the kitchen. How do I balance its taste with mine, while the decor? How I can do the kitchen and a very feminine bedroom? What towels color do you suggest? Since we do not have much money to spend, they are good places to buy cheap furniture, but nice?
Congratulations on a place of your own! When my husband and I got our first, we had a terrible time deciding what to buy and ended up buying all very dark. I would go neutral as possible with all furniture and add color with curtains, carpets, pillows and art. This way you can change it all without breaking the bank. As for the towels I like white, other colors fade and look old way too fast, but with a little bleach your target is always new. One thing that did was buy all the tools of our kitchen and stainless steel fittings. He was given a uniform and not too Kitchy. Then again I had the opportunity to add my favorite color cloths, vases flowers, etc. Good luck and happy decorating.
