If you were to just sling balls into the rack / triangle what is the odds of them being correct without moving them around. There are 7 yellow balls 7 red balls and a black ball just to be clear.
depends whether all the balls are numbered - in which case there are 15! ways of arranging balls and only one correct way which would means odds are 1 in 15! which is
1 in 13 million million (approx)
if all 7 yellow and 7 red are same and it doesn't matter which red ball goes in a red space or which yellow ball goes in a yellow space then it would be total combinations (15!) divided by (15 (to allow for all combinations where black was in correct place) x 7! x 7! (to allow for red and yellow balls being identical))
this is equal to 15! / (15 x 7! x 7!) = 14! / (7!.7!) = 3432
so odds of it happening in this case would be 1 in 3432.
